My heart is full of gratitude for my roots in the lovely Lowcountry of South Carolina, where some of my favorite childhood memories include visits to my grandfather's farm near Awendaw. 

A few short years ago, my son and I were living the dream on our quarter-acre slice of heaven in rural Florida. We had a sprawling garden, a charming orchard, and a lively gang of 15 clucking chickens. Then, just when we thought life couldn't get any more exciting, we took a leap of faith at the chance to start a brand new chapter near the stunning Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee at the end of 2022.

We're absolutely thrilled to share all the highs and lows of our adventures with you as we roll up our sleeves to grow gardens, raise animals, and build & repair structures on our homestead.
